Disrupting the Poverty Cycle Conference 2020
Sep 3, 2020
EMPath’s biennial conference is taking place October 6-9, 2020—virtually! Join us for a week of virtual programming for people working to disrupt poverty.
In a year that has given us more questions than answers, EMPath is excited to gather academics, authors, and experts to share insights on the road ahead for economic mobility, and the strategies that will create greater opportunities for all.
The goal of our conference is to empower attendees with new strategies and wider networks. When we unite to share and learn, we grow our collective strength.
This year we’re sharing and fostering this strength online. Ticket prices have been lowered from past years, and we’re spreading the talks over four days (no all-day Zoom fatigue here!) to bring the conference to you.
Speakers include:
- Vu Le, founder of the blog Nonprofit AF
- Shaady Salehi, Director of the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project
- Luke Tate, former special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under the Obama Administration
- Mary O’Hara, award-winning journalist, producer, and author
