Voices Advocacy Council
EMPath graduates and participants share their life experiences and successes with policy makers, the media, and with others making the journey from poverty to self-sufficiency through our Voices Advocacy Council (VAC).
What is the Voices Advocacy Council?
- VAC leaders are trained in our advocacy curriculum to carry out internal and external training to help families get engaged in advocacy and feel empowered to influence change.
- We bring together low-income women and their supporters to advocate for policy changes that improve their lives and promote economic self-sufficiency.
- We educate Advocacy Council members in the legislative process.
- We equip members with the skills necessary to advocate for themselves and their families.
