Laura Ruiz-Gaona is a Research Manager at J-PAL North America, where she supports randomized evaluations in areas such as education, labor markets, housing, and health through Research Management Support (RMS), and through the strengthening of partnerships between governments or other stakeholders, implementers, and researchers. One of the programs Laura supports is the AMP Up Boston study, led by Professor Larry Katz.

Prior to joining J-PAL, she worked at the World Bank as a Health Economics Consultant focusing on digital health. Laura holds an MS in applied economics from University of Maryland and a BA in economics from Universidad de los Andes. She is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French.
